Is it worth replacing a 15-year-old boiler?
Yes. These boilers consume much energy and therefore have lower efficiencies compared to modern units, and they significantly drive up your energy bills. These old units also have high repair costs that exceed their value, so it is not worth fixing. If you want to know more, call us for a free assessment.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace a boiler?
That depends largely on the age of the boiler and its issues. To give you a rough estimate, if the repair costs more than 50% of a new boiler, replacement is a good idea. How often should a boiler be serviced?
Boilers need to be serviced once a year, preferably by a Gas Safe engineer. An annual service is recommended by most manufacturers and required by most boiler warranties.
